I Miss You More Than Words Could Ever Say
I miss you more than words could ever say
We were watching sky and beautiful day
You loved me so, and ‘tis I loved you too
Until that fateful night when low stooped you
Another girl! another girl! I was
Not good enough and such my story was
But I never found one as good as you
You completed me, completed her too.
But in another day, another life
Maybe I will be good to be your wife.
And so the days start, and so the days end.
Passing happily by, to river’s end
Where you now live, where you now reside, and
Your fruit of children, they growing up, and
Though you are gone, though I am just a girl,
I still dream of o! yet another world!
Where you would truly love me, no deceit,
And stories of us two lovers repeat
Echoing about, the stories would say
Keeping all love, but the hatred at bay
And watching and waiting had helped me not
But one last thing remains yet to be thought
I miss you more than words could ever say
