I Miss My Wife
Hello, my name is Mark Kelley, this is not a poem . My wife Yvette who used a pen name as Shanity Rain was very much into poetry and this wonderful website to express her poems. She actually wrote and published a book . Some of you I am sure will remember her name was Yvette Kelley but she used Shanity Rain as a pen name but I haven't done a search on her yet to see if she is still listed. Yvette died unexpectedly last year on Thanksgiving night. I was in prison for committing a crime to save our house from foreclosure. I saved the house for Yvette and our kids and went prison for 15 months. A month before I got out , Yvette died. I wandered the streets of Portland loaded on adderoll and in so much pain i couldn't stand to live. I finally got into a Veterans Program and i pulled my life back together and still am. I have a nice apartment now, i am clean and there for my grown kids. I am Working part time and i feel I am ready to start writing again myself if you guys will have me. I still get very sad and it gets bad living alone but I think I can heal with the help of you guys and writing but I don't know much about poetry, so I guess it will be free verse? Maybe some bio or drama, I'll give it my best. Thank you guys for reading my story , i will try and give you some of her poems that she didn't post but i would like to see if her work is still on here. God Bless and take care.
