I Met You In The Spring

It Was Spring When I Met You. I met you in the spring, When blue birds gather and sing, With butterflies' wings fluttering, Stirring above flower petals. Our whole life's beings, in joy, In full swing, of living things, Amonst slices of green leaves, Deep dreams risen, in morning sun. I met you in the spring, Bee's humming, fairy ring, highland fling, Picket fences, honeysuckle vines clinged, Cardinal sings, in glorious tunes of joy. Seen them through your eyes, Our hearts sang in union. With love bloom of stars bright, And now, how love turns to ice. Here I sit alone, in the quiet of the night Staring out at stardusts in dark sky, Basking under sparkles of moonlight, Dreaming of days gone by, String along, sad songs, out of style. My eyes drawning in tears, Glistering smear as dew drops, On top of rose petals, Fresh from spring rainfalls. Wind blows through my hair, Warm air caressing my face, Bright sun shines on my body, The sage scented is swell. Of wildflowers smell, pale and sweet, My heart beats with memories of love, Of you, spring, so far away in time, In time of magical, passing thoughts, It was LAST SPRING, when I met you.
