I Met Her In a Whisper

I met her in a whisper, her eyes a chocolate mist I swear she was an angel, such beauty heaven kissed She told me that she loved me My heart, it skipped a beat With lavender a' blooming, this one that I should meet Then painted me a sunset of marmalade and gold With watercolor feelings, emotions did unfold As waves were gently rolling, this shore of saphron sands We counted every seashell now held within our hands And as the moon was rising, a blushing evening beam I knew our world was perfect as if inside a dream And now as morning beckons, with blue skies up above I'm glad I heard that whisper for I have found true love
***Recalling the past. It has been almost a year since she left and I still think of her everyday"

This one reminds me of your heartache! I love the poem but still hate your pain! Silly of me I know but what can I say? I hate when my friend hurts and always will! Ok enough I will go for now! I mean I guess I could read and not comment but I know you do not like that! So just say so and I won't comment thru the past!;)

Wonderful writing Chris as always, loved the imagery although the chocolate and marmalade made me hungry. Your footnote saddens me, explains a lot of things, hope there is reconciliation, break ups are the worst. Take care!

I've always wondered at the level of heartache in your poems, if current or parts & pieces of all hurts you've lived. This awed me with its feel until I read the 'footnote' that grew my heart's prayer for growth of your internal 'knowing' that all has prepared you for the perfect staying love. You and I both walk into pain. I know pain is as kiln burning our hearts perfect. Love you gave is still love you hold to evolve its prime colors. Again, love your poems. All the best ... CayCay

I love the way you used sweets and flavors in this poem, "chocolate, marmalade, lavender, saffron." I hope she comes back to you.
