I Love You Still

Thou magic which my heart conceived upon thy tender chest, the beat of heart thy memory kept as twinge of pain did start. Though skies be fair or sunny bright timeless the memory of your eyes, melting the fabric of my new found life as I ponder the pain of yours in the night. Oh how I wish that I could fill those dreams you had yourself don't you know I love you still too true I always will. I think of you and bate my breath thou loving gaze, thy sweet caress. Though I know, nevertheless right for me... you were just a little less Of all I needed and that I dreamed from the first for which I pleaded yet nothing and everything was as it seemed Ache I will for roots grown deep hidden underground though balanced branches take their reach 'twas under the soil depth was found. Some deep abiding mystery mine heart shall not forget that unforgettable symphony holding tune the tempo of regret Just this moment beholding the moon a sigh passes nary my lips in hopes my wish could find you soon the hand of loves timeless click In my heart still I hold you where room knows no boundary wall a promise of forever not untrue when the memory of your eyes I recall Even now when joy is full to the brim and runneth over what could have been's still have their pull and tear my heart asunder Still I wish with all my heart true love you find again this time ready to impart the actions of lesser men Waste not thy years with so few left in sadness or regret, but take thy tears commingled here living for what's coming yet... For fate has sealed It's place in time the season of its days, For choice of heart and of its ways are perplexities I can't explain. Unto infinity you'll hold in part that chain wound round my heart a voice and eyes that now must hide In the pocket full of memories of my life. Such is the sorrow to know you hurt and all the damage done If only this wish at once deferred and of your heartache be done

I don't think I have ever read such profound heartfelt emotion for the loss of love. It's like being hugged with words. Very, very well done. Jim

This describes the complexities of love both it's human limitations and it's splendor. Sometimes we cannot love another as much as they or we need yest there is value in the loving. Stanza four says it all for me, nothing short of brilliant.

It is not a nice thing to break up, but you do it with honesty and best wishes. At times it is kind to be cruel; realities have to be faced; no good living a lie! // paul

A profound comment indeed Paul. Blind and guessing we rebuild a life, trying to use the wisdom we have gained from the past. But love is a weighty stone not easily dismissed; and as fragile as a rose.

A lovely piece. To cause pain...even when you don't want to, is a difficult cross to bear. More so for the one who loved wholeheartedly. I've been on the receiving end of that. I don't think anyone who hasn't been can know the depth of pain.

I agree with you on that sweetie, it is harder for the one rejected. Life and love can have so many complications. I just know some loves will never die even when we must deny them.

Hi Dear One, yes I'm doing well. Guess we all have those moments when someone we love is missed even when you know they weren't right for you in the long run. It doesn't mean we stop loving them or sorry we broke their heart. Hugs my friend!

Thank you Jan, it's sad to love someone so dearly that you knew in the long wouldn't work out. I feel so bad for hurting him and only want to see him happy again.
