I Love You Mom

Mom is still with me

her body and soul are here

       sadly her eyes stare

           she has outlived destiny

                only memories remain...

oh, my, does your mom have that terrible disease my stepdad got years ago? I wonder if we can still say it's her soul. Maybe the soul goes to some other level until they can be released to death and a new life. Very good one, Sharon, especially for those who can relate.

I must tell you there have been so many diverse poems shared here at PoetrySoup yesterday and this morning that I am just now being able to read. Each one is a treasure to the poet who wrote it. It is a pleasure to me to be able to read them. I am so happy yours was among the ones I have read today Shar. Love, Carol
