I Love You
I love you
Because I do
And it shouldn’t be
Taboo for me to say so.
Maybe it’s misled
But maybe a sore heart
And head
Help me feel closer
To where you and I were
Less than a month ago
Trouble plagues me, amor,
And I can only dream
That maybe I’ll make it to the sea
And that my toes will clench the sand
The way they did
when you left a final kiss
on me
It made me scramble
For a way to you
For a promise that
Some solid day
I can return the kiss to you…
And that day pains me…
It rocks my
aching heart
knowing that I don’t have the means
nor you the love
Because love, for you
Beyond taboos
is
just
too
much.
