I Love You

“I love you” But did you? Or did you love those sweet words I whispered in your ear, The way I made you feel special. You can say you love me; But before you close your eyes at night, What was your last thought? Was it the way I laughed when you told a joke? Or my smile? Is it my body? Is it how I made you feel wanted in this lonely world? I don't know if I believe you loved me, We just broke up and you're already happy with her. It makes me doubt the words you said to me, If they were real… or a way to play with my heart. I told you when you moved on I'd be happy for you, I just didn't think you'd move on so soon. I thought I'd have time to get over you before I saw you with her. Two days after we broke up and you already replaced my picture. I cried and cried and wondered what she had that I didn't. Maybe it was the distance, She was close and I was far, But I thought we could've worked it out. I know you say I hurt you, But you hurt me in a way I just can't describe. You told me that you loved me But it's so hard to believe that you love me when you run to her.
