I Love Thee More
I love thee more than needfully
The surety of breath
The misty cloud of memory
That follows me in death
I love thee more than eagle wings
That soar above the dens
And splash the pools of silver springs
In misty mountain glens
I love thee more than angel dust
Is helping me to fly
In visions of the moon, I trust
Will catch me floating by
I love thee more than tongue can tell
In fervent passion stress
My gratitude for living well
Inside your tenderness
I love thee more than life is long
Or lingers more to hold
The happiness of this, my song
In pleasures bright and bold
I love thee more than ecstasy
Is leading me astray
And how you set my spirit free
To love thee more each day.
