I Love the Songs of Heroes - a Repost

I love the songs of heroes
Who gave their all and more
In service to our country
They fought and died in war.

I love the songs of heroes
Who came to the rescue first
Battling the flames of tragedy
And rushing into the worst.

I love the songs of heroes
Who gave all for their families
Sacrificing for sons and daughters
Spending time down on their knees.

I love the songs of heroes
In memory of the long-gone past
Who strove for all that's right and good
To make our freedoms last.
