I love a heart who knows
That heaven is its home
I love a heart who gives
From deep within its core
I love a heart who lives
To reach another soul
I love a heart who tries
To be a friend of gold
I love a heart who smiles
When someone does well
I love a heart who cries
When another is hurting
I love a heart who decides
To always live with purpose
I love a heart who defines
God’s will with true loving

I love a heart who is filled
With compassion and hope
Feelings that thrive, alive
With benevolence and peace
Feelings that are so aware
They’re needed to bring joy
They’re a part of the spirit
That sends God’s love outward
Toward the people who need
It the most, the people who 
Are poor, afraid and lonely

I love a heart who is giving
Beyond what I can describe
A heart that loves humbly
Without the slightest pride
