I Long To Be Free

I long to be free,
Why can't they let me be me?
They don't understand that I'm just different.
Isn't life so brilliant.
They try to change my ways.
They try to turn off my blaze.

I long to be free,
I long to leave.
I see the exit so near,
I can see it so clear.
I want nothing more to just escape this place,
To forget all their faces.

I long to be free,
From this place I'm going to flee.
To leave the past behind,
I just want to find someone so kind.
It beacons me to run farther away.
So I leave to find that better place with nothing more to say.

aww I once felt like this too, and now I am free, you are one of a kind you are special to God and he treasures you and His son came to set us all free. it took me 29 years to be whole again when I was broken but I can promise you will get that that freedom you seek I did and so will you. God bles you and may the peace of God be with you and his love also from diane

Hi Terry I can feel your heart as I read your poem.We are all different, individual. You are a special, unique, beautiful person and God loves you more than you will ever know. May God's peace fill your life. Leon
