I Kill Neither

I'm lead, to follow, just behind your pace I'll express your whim, harmful or benign, Your thoughts mulled over harmless or malign I'll accept your kin, will not judge by race A keen hopelessness does bare on their face When my eye meets theirs and their eyes meet mine Their half breathed words profuse without design Breathed full or not, left breathless without a trace And yet I precede to enforce your will Where you see the sun, I see stars above What men achieve, I ensure you surpass What your mind does conjure we can fulfill I do not excel in matters of love But allow your reach to exceed your grasp
