I Keep Shooting Blanks

When it comes to my wife, I sure don't get any thanks. We're trying to have a baby but I keep shooting blanks. We've been trying to have a baby for five years. I'll never get her pregnant, that is how it appears. It's frustrating and it's getting to be more than I can stand. My wife says that because I shoot blanks, I'm not a real man. We've recently been discussing going to a sperm bank. We would've had a kid years ago if I wasn't shooting blanks. (This is a fictional poem.)
