I Have Seen the Sun

I Have Seen the Sun

I have seen the sun
Break through the morning fog
Painting the sky
Red and yellow strokes

In the midst of the darkness
I have lifted up my eyes
To behold the blessings of the skies
I get lost in its thick, fluffy clouds
There I silence my sighs

At nightfall
The big , blue
Promises moonlight and stars
Where the rested mother owl
Comes to feed
To gnash at fresh meat

Even at the peak of dusk
There is nightlight
Where waves dance in the deep

Daylight comes again
Even at the depth of the pit
And the height of the storm
There I long to breathe
