I Have Done Things

I’ve done things, there is no denying that… Some I’m proud of, others not so much… But either way, I own them – they are mine to embrace and absorb into me. I’ve done things, this is true… I will own up to them, take responsibility for them… They are part of me, part of who I am – ingredients of who I became and integral to being me. I’ve done things, this I cannot hide… I must accept them as my own, include them in me… Realise that the responsibility is mine – actions of my own doing and burdens of my own thoughts. I’ve done things, this is fact… All to please you - appease you, make you happy… The destruction of the sacred me – my very own Jericho and the ashes of my phoenix.
