I Have Built Walls

I have built walls as tall as towers not to let the high tides roll in, but who can withstand a fierce storm that can topple everything except hope? I watched that storm battering the shore and hiding I groped for a flashlight or candle, and so terrified by the crashing waves, I thought death was imminent! I have built walls to keep the sea water away: letting hope be my strenght when violent storms won't knock down my last wall! Written on 9/18/2019
