I Have Been Blessed

I have been blessed
a witness to miracles
the first in a home
on a cold winter night
the second in an ambulance
miles away
again at night 
when little heads began to appear
my hands unsteady a moment ago
suddenly capable
reach forward to receive the miracle of life
I have been blesssed
I have witnessed miracles
I will be blessed again
