I Hate the News

I Hate the News
By Franklin Price
02/02/2016

Just want to say, I hate the news.
Reporters drive me to more booze.
They spin the news as they see fit
It's hard to make some sense of it

They tell the story their own way,
The truth or not is what they say,
Complete or partial; out of context.
Never surprised, what they say next.

Where is Cronkite, Chet and Dave?
They are turning in their graves
I know for sure they cannot rest
Seeing the truth put to the test
