I Had No Choice

I was born white in this country without a choice
I was born male and I had no choice
I have blue eyes and what use to be brown hair
I had no choice

I went to school to learn as a child and I had no choice
I had three brothers and a sister I had no choice
I grew up in a poor family I had no choice
My father was an alcoholic I had no choice

But now I can choose Love over hate

Hi Bobby, I really liked the message within in this piece. We "all" didn't choose who we are but as you so brilliantly wrote, we "all" can choose love over hate. This gem of poem is going straight into my favs. Have a great day my friend:-) Alexis
