I Got Bit

I got bit
Three times.
By what?
I do not know.

Up the leg,
Past the knee.
Itch
Unmistakable.

Beforehand,
I spied
An ugly spider,
With a white dot.

After Brunswick stew
And my husband’s wings,
Pretzel sticks with mustard
And onion rings.

Yummy in the tummy —
but
what
bit
me?

I do not know!
will
i
go
back?

The food was great
but so’s the itch.

An amusing spider poem - glad it wasn't venomous - enjoyed reading it twice over. Hugs, Jennifer.

Kim, I read this poem to the tune of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". Reminds me I need more calamine lotion. -Richard

So irritating when that happens just when you are having a good time with your family..true to life, especially in summer time. Many can relate to your poem, Kim.
