I Googled the Truth

Amazon dot com told me there were Terry Prachet books
And Wikipedia told me “don’t believe the truth”

There were factories built in shards of glass
And cigarette burns twice as fast

And then the truth is something you think that you know
The organization of freedom and loving souls

The truth is on line
And we love the truth
Knowing the truth
And where is the truth

And where the truth lies

A grand theft auto encyclopaedia
And Nibiru is gonna burn ya
You’ve no choice just be there

The truth is we are in a serious decline
But the truth is we’ve never had a better time

We’re digging away and searching for the truth
But nothing, but the truth, so help me God

There’s the truth about bible teaching
And the truth about 9 elevenses
the truth wears off
In the lies we are lost

The X files and Phys Ed stretching the truth
About dog attacks and tragedies
Meat bone and blood
And who was Bin Laden
Did this really happen
The truth machine, the star gate and the ark

Another version of the truth
Nothing but the truth
Defending the truth
Knowing the truth

Androids and Jesus
And six pack abs
Scientology and uncovering the facts

All about nursing
The truth about heaven
The real truth of religion
The torture of truth
The ugly truth

The Oasis and Eiffel Tower
Needles we hear about

Get stuck in the vein with another vaccine

We’re falling apart in a frivolous tax
The drug companies teaching us the grammar of accept
shot down the barrel of a gun
Comes the ultimate truth in all it’s forms

So this it! the truth at last
The Da Vinci code of having a blast
Someone asks you “do you want the truth or would you prefer
 something beautiful?”

there’s someone rolling around in a pit of truth
Though the knives are cutting into their throat
Don’t you know how the truth can hurt ?

It won’t set you free by wireless and phones
It won’t tell you anything you don’t already know
How under the guise of a song
Tell you the truth is wrong

No the truth isn’t sexy
It ain’t about milk
It ain’t about nothing you knew nothing about
It’s dieing on your lips
And it’s falling at your feet
It’s the sustenance you need
But you just won’t eat

So concerned with knowing the truth
you’ve forgotten what the truth is about

You’re falling into forever
You are the one
There isn’t any more truth more real than the sun

You’re falling into forever
You are the one
There isn’t any more truth more real than the sun

There isn’t any more truth more real than the sun

enjoyed your poem. Another truth of political brain- washing, the president's middle name( sounds like Haussene). Who is the enemy. the people, or organized leaders. I encourage u to read my revised Peace, peace.

The truth is "the sustenance we just won't eat" is a brilliant line, Colin. I think we ask for "truth" when we really wanted sugar-coated perspectives that will make us happy. You did a remarkable job exposing fallacies about "truth" in this poem and I'm delighted to see you posting again!! Hope you enjoyed the book I sent to you, but it may have been below your standards. You are a brilliant man who has always intrigued me. Love and best wishes, Carolyn
