I Go

This moment expands, stretching out beyond my knowing. Hands hold my head as tears touch me. I comfort you in your grief, smile gently to ease your loss, and do not speak of the pain that rends us. Alone now, the cool breeze lifts me and I go. I do not cast my mind back to what was, nor ahead to what could be. This moment expands, stretching out beyond my knowing.
