I Finally Found Me

It took me years, to find me,
Whom I am, and what is my destiny.
I never fit in, around my friends and siblings,
Felt trap like a puppet on strings.

When I finally broke free from them all,
          I immediately felt whole.
Being alone, feel never so pleasing,
I have time to do my writing.

I found a new me, inside,
Someone who broke free, who hide.
She found a purpose in life, in her poems,
She was finally free at home.

A new world open in front of me,
My soul had time to speak freely.
I could captured my words on a canvas,
Coloured it in with a beautiful verse.

I could inspired people like me,
Tell them about my life and abusive history.
I am a survivor due to poetry,
Completing my book is my destiny.
