I Extend
I breathe the wind of trees
The blade of grass swaying back and forth
The chlorophyll in the tiny cell
I swim the depths of seas
Collect oxygen through my slitted gills
The pennies in my wishing well
I walk along the streets
Under guise of endless hair, all shapes and colors
And guard the void within my shell
I live a life of no alarm
I won’t pretend I do no harm
The bond I share with those I seek
Extends beyond my farthest reach
