I Dreamt a Fantasy
I DREAMT A FANTASY!
I went to sleep and dreamt a fantasy.
On the beach, I was platform.
Out of the sea came a male mermaid.
I saw his tail but my face did not tell what I had seen.
To him I appeared lonesome.
He changed quickly to the aura of man.
Oh, he was so handsome I felt like I was in the land of Peter Pan.
He walked over to where I was standing and asked, “Pretty Lady may I have this dance?”
India Arie’s I Am in the Mood for Love was playing in the background and we danced to the flow.
Our relationship flourishes and on our one-year anniversary, a factual discovery of a mermaid.
Poseidon – the Greek God of the Sea blessed him.
He sent him to me, Athena of captivity.
My life is self-proclaimed to celibacy.
He was given the life of a mermaid.
Our bonding changed our destiny.
Our dynasty is that of a fable.
In this faith, I transmute every seven years as he does.
This transmogrification lives by the beach by the sea.
I dreamt a fantasy.
