I Dreamt a Dream

I dreamt of you sweet dreams
Faceless tall and proud
Approaching on your horse
In the darkness of the night

Visions of your gracefulness
Enticing me to follow you
And promise my fidelity
From here on to eternity

I know not your title or your name
But I’ll recognize you from my dreams
As I wait for you returning in the night
I’ll call you Lady Death riding in the dark

This reminds me of a dream I had once. This one makes me think... I appreciate your comment below about "making peace" but no hurrying... :)

Line, this sounds like a past-life dream. Have you had it or something similar more than once? Your poem is intriguing and well written. Wishing you success in the contest. Best wishes, Carolyn
