I Don'T Want To Let Go

I Don’t Want to Let Go I don’t want to let go… of when I looked into your eyes as you brushed aside a strand of your soft brown hair your smile so sweet, so bright the thoughts of it stayed with me deep into the night You said, “Let me be yours, for I want you to be mine so our souls, our hearts will intertwine” I don’t want to let go… of the moment when I gently held your hand we began feeling a special connection only we understand I don’t want to let go… of the moment we watched the sunset you put your head on my shoulder and sweetly said that this is a moment you’ve longed for—one you never wish to forget I don’t want to let go… of the time you asked, “Will you hold me? Will you kiss me? please… please be my reality my sweet man, please take away all my sorrow” I don’t want to let go… of you of the hope that you are the one for me now, tomorrow and all of infinity I don’t want to let go… of you, of your sweet tender love I don’t want to let go --Allen Baswell © 09/30/21
