I Don'T Know Why

I don’t know what possessed me, to say the words I said;
And telling you that I’m sorry is something that I dread;

I never should have let you, push my buttons like you did,
I should have just left it alone, but you made me flip my lid;

I refuse to allow someone talk down like that to me,
I guess I should have known better, what are you like three;

I can’t believe how low you were, do you honestly think I care
Cause even in my wildest dreams, I wouldn’t have gone There;

And trust me when I tell you, my whole life isn’t you,
You are obnoxious and self-centered, I mean that through and through;

I tired of this stupid game, we always seem to play,
Someday your gonna’ push too hard, and I can’t wait for that day!

Some people really know how to push those buttons. Your outrage really comes through in this poem. (Guess this isn't your entry for the "Soup Pal" contest, Tirzah. LOL) Love, Carolyn

I like this poem and I felt the same way you feel here in this piece. The last part describes it so well...a perfect ending.
