I Do Not Care

I don’t care what you think of me
Or the label that you give
I don’t care what box you’ve found
Cause in there… I won’t live

I don’t care what thoughts you think
Or how you judge my soul
I frankly couldn’t give a damn
If shaming is your goal

I don’t care you think I’m base
Too fat, not pencil thin
I don’t care, cause you know what?
Your judgment is YOUR sin

I don’t care, I do not CARE
I do not give a DAMN
So scroll on by or disappear
Or get caught in this SLAM!

A really beautiful written poem, believe me people never get happy with anyone, nor we need to make them happy, we are only here to make one person pleased and that s God, no other, don t even care what people say, people also told me many things but I ve long started to ignore them and I doesn t even care, just spend your life as you wish, make yourself happy and your God, no one else, it s no one business whether you re fat or thin, black or white, just don t care what they say

Very articulate and well crafted. I'm glad we're friends! Our five senses often betray us. Only when we lose our eyes and vision do we really begin to see. But it was surely nice to see our rhyme and photos. I know you a little better now. Thanks for visiting my Facebook page.

interesting take about weakness in the human spirit as judging surely is, Slam seems to be a form that makes a statement and with this one your statement was loud and clear..bravo

Thank you, Tim. I'm humbled by this post. You are very kind. Sometimes we try to project something that we are not...just to feel...ok. It's hard to have this continual struggle with weight. I sometimes feel like giving up....even being around people, but I will renew my efforts in the new year. I exercised today! :)
