I Do Not Care

I don’t care I say
It has become my mantra
Those who know me well laugh
Because they know me well

It shuts down the troublemakers
“I don’t care” means
They cannot get a rise out of me
They cannot change my mood

They wander away to bother others
I don’t care
My mantra
Works for me

I seriously think I should adopt your mantra, if you don't mind, Caren. I looked at Milt's photo yesterday when I ran across one of his poems in searching my own. I know we both miss him. Tomorrow will 9 months since he's been gone. A time for weeping again.
