I Do Believe He Has Made Me

I don't quite remember
how often I was this happy...
was it a gift received,
a thoughtfulness admired,
or just a dream realized?

Staring at the stupendous constellations,
I can't help wondering their origin...
how they were made as other amazing planets,
but joy is too delirious to surpress
when I read about the One who has created them!

Scientists believe in evolution...
how can a fish or ape evolve into a human being?
Are they evolving today and resemble us?
This hasn't been scientifically proven...
I despise to hear where I came from!

So hysterically singing I do believe He has made me,
let them figure it out for themselves
and go insane over their desputed belief...
I'd like to put some sense into them with this statement!

Faith is not for the modern man,
but He has forgotten Who has given him wisdom
and intelligence to conquer the vast universe;
will some deride me and call me a deluded fool,
and what my response will be to their remarks?

I do believe He has made me,
and joyfully singing I praise Him in my hymn
as the incense delights my free spirit longing for peace,
but others watch me and wonder how I could resemble Him...
and by denying this truth, they can't experience my gleeful feeling.

Some of us still have faith, Andrew, we haven't all forgotten. And although I believe fully that God created all things, I feel there is room to consider evolution as part of His plan. Keep the faith, dear friend. You express your feelings beautifully! Love, Carolyn
