It always seemed things would fall
into place in some distant future.
It was delusional to think
we'd always have tomorrow.
So no heart-to-heart in our future.
Questions left suspended in mid-air
are meant to remain unanswered
and mysteries destined to stay unsolved.
Now that ship has sailed,
opportunities squandered
and it's too late ~
we just ran out of time.
And I’m the one left empty handed
dealing with the repercussions.
