I Didn'T Choose This Life
I didn't choose this life, the life choose me
Bitter, sad, and alone, nightly I sleep
Slim are the pickings, which makes my thoughts run deep
I didn't choose this life, the life choose me
Sometimes I wonder why, it must be so cruel
Why so harsh to me, I play by the rules
I didn't choose this life, the life choose me
The sun hits my face, it brings a new day
I awake to nothing, there never anything to say
No one to curl under, no one to kick
Not even somebody to say, baby I'm sick
To me I feel deserving but that my not be so
Lots have changed, I'm still lone, one two three years in a row
But I live with it everyday. It haunts me, even in my sleep.
I didn't choose this life, the life chose ME!
