'I did it my way'...he confessed in song;
and, 'when I face the final curtain'... he
went on. Those words, so relevant and strong,
present a blueprint of how life should be.
Our chosen goals must be creative, kind
and back the values guarded by our heart.
With talents offered, shaped by hand and mind,
we'll know our soul's at rest when we depart.
Not led by circumstances at the time,
inspired by fads or laws that come and go;
to 'do it my way'...retrogress or climb...
the effort keeps our final peace aglow.
'I did it my way'...how those words will lift
us past the 'final curtain' as we drift...
