Notes About The Poem

We are all poets and we ourselves can only undersatnd word for word what and how we feel. We need not a contest...we only need to write from our hearts.  Write on my fine poets and poetesses!

I Detest

We don't need no stinking contest 
This is not a test... it's time you invest
Just because someone says... that they are better than the rest 
Write your best...  it's yours... it's your bequest 
So don't be stressed... it's none the lest 
Now that I've gotten that off my chest 
I hope it's something... you can all digest 
I will not protest... what I detest 
But I will wish you all... much success

I guess I am a fool as well (lol) and it is a cheap thrill, that is somewhat rewarding. They may not be the outcome we all hope for, but after running a couple of contests myself, I found out that you can't please everyone all the time, but you can please some of the people some of the time.
