I COUNT MY BLESSINGS
When I'm worried, and I can't sleep
I go to the pasture and play with the sheep
They gather 'round me with fleece so warm
Play a little rough, but mean no harm
I am soon tired, ready for night-night
But they really have me squeezed in tight
The only thing visible is my little head
I wish they would let me go on to bed
But they are so friendly and wanting to play
I'll probably be here 'til the crack of day
Then they'll be grazing in green grass deep
While I am wishing to just go to sleep
This flock of sheep are my only friends
Not ducks, or geese, or Mama's old hens
So I am content to frolic and play
And end up sleeping the entire day
Tomorrow night will probably be the same
And the sheep are always glad that I came
So I'm not complaining, nor am I stressing
My friends, the sheep, are truly a blessing
