I Couldn't Talk About It, So I Wrote a Poem
Absolute peace is detrimental to progress.
God forbids, but if a total Peace prevails
Society, as we know, will come to a grinding halt,
Religion, as an enterprise will wither away
Law and justice will become obsolete;
There will be no prisons, no police, no courts of law.
No tales to tell or myths to spin,
Neither heroes to worship nor martyrs to idolize,
The world would plunge into chaos…
It simply makes NO BUSINESS SENSE.
You got to let evil and hate loose in the world,
Let go of all the thugs, tyrants, rapists, marauders,
murderers and warmongers back into the society;
Constraining or getting rid of them makes
absolutely NO BUSINESS SENSE.
So you see, without war and destruction
There will be no rebuilding,
Without the pandemonium
No yearning for peace,
Without sin
No penance for salvation.
Good and evil must coexist, side by side,
As does joy and suffering
So does God and the devil,
Life couldn’t be complete
one without the other.
Sooner we accept this, easier it’ll be to live.
Man, in his own image, created God
and he made the devil for a purpose,
There cannot be only sunshine
and cool breeze all the time,
As in nature, so in life,
We must as well endure
the bleak and the dark days of fall
and the bitter cold of winter.
For the progression of mankind
Periodic destruction is indispensable.
