I Closed My Eyes

It should be hard on you
I left you when you needed me the most
I did close my eyes
Hoping you would hold my hands
And stop me

It has been an hour
Wondering if I've made the right choice
It's okay, I will live
But you didn't know that I love you

Every single day you'd say you need me
Like a recitation or some sort of chant
You needed me
An obsession you couldn't live without
It is not love

I'm regretting
Walked out of that door so you'd stop me
But you didn't
Not going to rewind the tape
It will still be the same

If you could realize that we're losing ourselves
Once you loved me
The next day, your eyes said something else 
Yes, I still remember

What were we doing?
We were holding on for this long
It's a miracle
Now, it's time to let go
And I'll be the person to leave

If you could turn back to the person you were
I'm asking something stupid here
It's time to move on
Maybe this time
It'll be the longest time to forget the love we used to have
