I Carry You
I carry your smell away with me
Not to miss you when you are not with me
The innate odour I yearn to be with me
Like the smell of a fresh rained soil, let it merge with me
I carry your palms’ imprint inside mine
Not to miss your caress when you are not with me
The cage I long
To lock me up and never let me go
I carry your breath with me
Not to miss your heart beats when you are not with me
The unsung melody that makes me dance
Let them make ripples in my abandoned river
