I Can'T See You

every year
the same old words creep from your lips
the same sweet scent of you enters my nose
the familiar high is not so envigorating

every day
the same old smile has lost its luster
the familiar eyes have hollowed out
the sweet voice has faded into a gentle whisper

the familiar face has faded
the sweet voice has been silenced
the sweet scent has disapated
yet the feelings remain

Cameron, This reminds me of ageing with grace; when love replaces passion and endures. Excellent! Congratulations on having your poem featured this week. Keep writing, Love and Hugs, Dane
