I Can'T Make It On My Own

I wait for the sadness to go away?
sometimes the pain is more than I can bear.
Will I ever see, that wonderful day.

You said you love me, do you really care?
I can not make it if I'm on my own.
Sometimes the pain is more than I can bear.

My days are so dark, I feel all alone.
I'm starting to wonder, if You are there.
I can't make it if I'm on my own.

I scream to the heavens, this isn't fair.
I hear no answer, it makes me so mad.
I'm starting to wonder if You are there.

I slip into Your word, push away the bad.
Angels come to help, all part of Your plan.
I have my answer, it makes me feel glad.

I hold onto your strength, for I'm just a man.
Angels come to help, all part of your plan.
I wait for the sadness to go away.
I know I will see that wonderful day.

Dedicated to my friend Pete who has lost so much and yet has gained as well.
May Gods Love comfort him at this most painful of times and allow his faith
to strengthen his family as he takes on the roll of leadership in this healing process.
My prayers and thoughts continue to be with you.

Lovely dedication Richard! It's when we're down that we need a friend to lift us up and remind us that the journey may have some bumps but there are smooth paths in sight. Well penned!
