I Believe In Peace
I'm 18 years old and I live in a world where
Sadness is predominate, there is no such thing as peace.
If we stray from the beaten path, we are outcasts
Desecrators of what makes things easy.
I am a girl who lives in a world where technology reins.
Concrete mountains seem to tower over Everest and you can live your whole life while
sitting in a chair.
Smoke from everything destorys everything.
It disgusts me.
So just to be sure I'm different from the rest, to be utterly positive people know where I
stand, I here and now choose to declare
That I believe in Unicorns.
It's random, I know, but even so I refuse to not have one insane idea to cling to.
I want the forests and the sun on my skin, to sit beside a creek and listen to its music.
I want a world where the earth is revered, every flower and plant cherished as it should be.
I want a world that believes in unicorns.
I choose to believe that such purity and peace is still possible, if only we search hard enough.
I choose to believe that that to follow the beaten path will destroy all that Humanity as
struggled to create.
I choose to believe in unicorns.
