What is that wonderful smell when a rain shower passes on a warm summer day? Is it the fragrance of a new beginning, quenching us with the exuberance of youthful joy, a sweet wisp of hope for the earth to embrace, a cleansing, a freshness of favor, a cause for the celebration of life? I ask you then, if it is all of that, why would anyone with any sense of poetic license want to own an umbrella?

Hello Charlie, I like the rain when it sprinkles to the ground. I like the sound of the rain,it soothing for sleeping. I would rather get wet in the rain than carry the umbrella. Have a nice day my friend. I had toe surgery done on my big toe that is why i have not been on the computer. Have a nice day my friend.

When walking in the rain is a true joy, the merest thought of using an umbrella is abhorrent my good friend. I do so miss those youthful days and even my brother and I running races in the rain.. splashing both water and mud.. A bright gem and a fav too....

Hi Charlie, this is a gem of a write. As a rule i do not use an umbrella. A rain shower can be all you write and more Charlie. My thoughts start anew after walking in the rain, they are more clear. Love the content. Have a wonderful Saturday. Your friend always....Mike.

oh Charlie this is a little gem, I love the freshness after a shower. I have never used a brolly since we moved here... its far too windy but I don't mind getting wet in gentle rain but not drenched and soaked to the skin!:-) hugs Jan xx
