I Am Your Secret

Our time together wasn’t in stone
yet my daydreams surround it
and I try to understand what was
while you say it never happened

that your hand around mine
meant that there was a maybe
and that your lips sealing mine
could be our promise

and your words like a honey suckle
smooth and rich with compassion
I believed were whispered to me
sweet nothings in the dead of night

we were concealed by your power
no one gave us a glance
but in our solitude I knew
what you holding me really meant

and others can believe the lies
but if they were to look by our diguise
and see what is in your eyes
a love that’s left unsaid
