NB I originally chose purple but heard the song on the radio and was inspired!

I’m as vibrant as the core of the chromosphere
Sometimes I’m radiant like golden sunflowers
I can be pale as primrose or as bold saffron spice
But to name my different hues may take me hours! 

I can glow as brightly as the morning sun
And can outshine many a gal or fellow
I’ll staunchly stand up for what I believe
I’m not cowardly – I sure ain’t yellow!

Dear Jan, standing up for what you believe in, refusing to be cowardly, really pays off. I think it’s clever, playful, and empowering all at once. I was listening to a 'gold' show and it was played - my favourite colour is purple/lilac shades but yellow is so uplifting for the spirits:-) hugs Jan xx
