Women have been kept down for too long and it's time we became our true, powerful goddess selves. A celebration for women and an inspirational piece.

I am woman

I am woman,
Hear me roar!
I am banging 
At your door -
No more keeping me out! 
Misogyny, abuse and self doubt
Gone -
It's my time now;
Hear my song!

I am woman, 
I am proud! 
See me fly, 
See me soar;
Above your 
Pettiness and 
Anger, I 
Will be so much 
More:

More powerful;
More widespread;
More vocal;
More creative;
More warrior;
More phoenix;
More natural... 

And from the ashes 
Where you burned 
My ancestors to the ground, 
We will rise strong, 
Sisterhood proud... 

And you, your egos and 
Domination, 
Your lies and 
Need for control... 
They will
Have repercussions 
You'll dread for your 
Eternal soul... 

For you will have to 
Live in eternity 
With the hell 
You created for 
Us on earth,
And we shall 
Rise free and strong;
Despite your chains 
And limitations, 
We will sing our song... 

I am woman,
Hear me roar!

We the true goddess energy 
Of our time... 
And we will fly and 
We will soar, 
Forever together, 
Phoenix calling...
