I Am Watching a Mother Sparrow

i am watching a mother sparrow feed her offspring, we are blessed by this innate ubiquitous nature it is by the mother's breast comes the promise God still believes in us it is that time of year i scatter seeds several times a day not only do i derive pleasure from feeding and watching the birds but also deep within is mom's voice if He knows when a sparrow falls He also knows who feeds them we need the brownie points make yourself known to Him Jesus taught about sparrows altho they were a common item not valued much by humans God has unconditional love for them proving it is not a station in life color of one's feathers that matters so as i watch a mother feed her baby i wear a smile, because as they lift off those feathered wings ascend to heaven there go some more of those brownie points mom talked about let me be the first to admit i need quite a lot of brownie points when the see no longer sees, there is where mother's hand has been waiting watching you accrue brownie points OKC 6/22

When you watch a sparrow feeding its offsprings you derive joy, may be it reminds you of your mother feeding her children ! I am sure you enjoy scattering grains for the birds as you love all creations of God as He loved them ! The scene you have described here gives great joy to me too.

Sparrows might be 'ordinary unpretentious' birds, but like us humans we are all the same in His eyes. There is much satisfaction in helping those in need, even though we expect nothing in return. Your lovely poem brings this and more to mind, Timothy. ~ Regards // paul

Feeding the birds can be so gratifying. We have Mina birds here and plenty of sparrows. They are much quicker than the Mina birds that would rather hop than fly. I enjoyed your poem my friend. Blessings xxoo

A special pastime….winter or summer. I can think of my favorite lines from Emily If I can stop one heart from breaking or ease one pain. Or help one fainting robin Unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain. — Emily Dickinson 116
