I Am Unmarried Edited

Parody of :
Im nobody! Who are you?
by Emily Dickinson

Original Poem

I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us -- don't tell!
They'd advertise -- you know!

How dreary to be somebody!
How public like a frog
To tell one's name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!
______________________________________

I'm unmarried! Who are you?
Are you unmarried, too?
Then there's a pair of us -- don't tell!
They'd force us-- you know!

How dreary to be married
To spend money on family
To be responsible livelong day
Let's live for self and enjoy!

A nice parody Rama! Emily is so good and thought provoking! Being uneducated is not easy! some unfortunately are denied the opportunity of being educated!

I absolutely love your parody, Rama! ... And you've also hit on my all-time favorite poet, Emily D! A 'double-header' for me. Thanks for the treat! H.N.Y! ~ Gershon
