I Am Sorry

Looking for forgiveness at the bottom of a 
bottle
But the Whiskey makes me feel lonely and 
hollow
No matter where you'd go I'd follow
I'm sorry everything I've done so shallow
Please understand I don't know why
I never meant to make you cry
Not even when I told my lies
I'll never forget the pain in your eyes
There is no protection from falling skies
Same effect when one heart dies
Everything crumbles when darkness flies
I put you down when all you did was try
